Troubleshooting for Different Nail Types

Not all natural nails are the same! If you’re experiencing lifting or difficulty with adhesion, here’s how to adjust your application for the best hold:

Flat Nails:

  • Buff your natural nails slightly more to improve adhesion.
  • Apply glue across the entire nail bed to prevent gaps.
  • Hold the press on firmly for 90 seconds, focusing on the edges.

Highly Curved (Dome-Shaped) Nails:

  • Size up slightly and file the press on for a better fit.
  • Apply extra glue at the edges to prevent lifting.
  • Hold pressure longer on the curved areas for a secure bond.

Wide Nails:

  • Size up and file the sides of the press ons for a custom fit.
  • Use extra glue to ensure full coverage.

Small or Narrow Nails:

  • Choose smaller sizes or file the press ons down to fit snugly.
  • Apply glue carefully to avoid excess spillage.

Weak or Peeling Nails:

  • Avoid over-filing to preserve nail health.
  • Apply a thin layer of base coat before glue for reinforcement.

Oily Nails:

  • Wipe nails with an alcohol prep pad (included in your kit) to remove excess oil.
  • Consider using a nail dehydrator or primer for extra grip.
